DFSA warns of scam impersonating firm Menhir Capital
Abstract:The DFSA warned the public on 17 August 2026 that legitimate Authorised Firm Menhir Capital Management Limited has been impersonated in a scam using a fraudulent website (www.masiju.com) and email address. The regulator confirmed the genuine firm's domain is @menhircapital.ae and its true website is www.menhircapital.ae, and advised the public not to send money to any party connected to the scheme.

The Dubai Financial Services Authority (DFSA) has issued a public alert warning that a legitimate DFSA Authorised Firm, Menhir Capital Management Limited, has been impersonated in a scam. The regulator confirmed that the fraudulent website and email address purporting to belong to the firm are not genuine, and urged the public not to send money to any party connected to the scheme.
The alert, published on 17 August 2026, said the scammers set up a fraudulent website at www.masiju.com and a fraudulent email address purporting to belong to the firm. The DFSA said the scammers used the firm's name, its address in the Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC) and its DFSA Firm reference number fraudulently and without permission.
What the fraudulent site claims
The live website www.masiju.com brands itself as “Menhir Capital Management” and markets a range of services, including investment advisory, property management, asset management and citizenship-by-investment programmes. The site describes itself as a “government-approved immigration consultant” and a joint venture of a real estate firm with over 17 years of industry experience.
The fraudulent site lists contact details including the email info@masiju.com, the phone number +971508877899, and a Dubai address at Unit 08A, Level 7, Building 1 Currency House, PO Box 482022, Dubai, U.A.E. It also claims copyright in the name “Menhir Capital Management” dating to 2023.
How to identify the genuine firm
The DFSA confirmed that the website and email address flagged in the alert are fraudulent. The firm's genuine email domain is “@menhircapital.ae” and its true website is “www.menhircapital.ae”. The regulator strongly advised the public not to respond to any communications regarding the scam, and said that under no circumstances should money be sent to any party connected to it.
Steps to protect yourself
The DFSA encourages consumers to refer to its list of regulated firms and Authorised Individuals, which is available on its website, to verify whether a firm is genuinely licensed. Comparing official domains and contact details with those used in any communication can help identify possible clones.
Requests for advance payments, withdrawal fees or release fees before any service is delivered are a general warning sign in investment scams. It is also worth remembering that a firm's absence from a warning list does not prove that it is safe, so verification against the regulator's official register remains the most reliable check.
